The SureSmile Treatment Planning Software provides orthodontists with powerful visualization tools for precision diagnosis, treatment planning
and appliance prescription design.
Using SureSmile 3-D imaging technology, your orthodontist can generate extremely accurate computer models of your teeth.
Combined with powerful software, these 3-D models allow your orthodontist to visualize and plan your treatment from start to finish with a high level of precision and confidence.
 Diagnostic Imaging ...
When you begin SureSmile treatment, 3-D images of your teeth will be taken to assess your malocclusion.
The OraScannerTM uses ordinary white light to take 3-D pictures of your teeth, operating in much the same way a digital camera
does.
3-D Modeling and Planning ...
The images are converted into a 3-D computer model of your teeth in which each tooth can be individually
manipulated. Your orthodontist will use this model, along with x-rays and photos, to evaluate potential outcomes from different treatment strategies and select the best plan for you.
 Bonding and Imaging ...
Once your teeth are bonded with braces, your teeth will be scanned again to capture the exact location of the braces on
each tooth. Your orthodontist uses the completed model to finalize the target positions for your teeth.
Customized Appliances ...
Your orthodontist will then order custom arch wires for your specific treatment needs from the SureSmile Service
CenterSM. Robots will precisely bend the wires—made from the most effective materials used in orthodontics today—to the detailed requirements of your individual treatment plan.
