Q. Do Invisalign braces cost more than regular braces?

A.  It depends on the treatment. For most patients, the cost of Invisalign is comparable to braces treatment for them, and if there is a slightly higher cost, most patients feel it is worth the money to have the invisible treatment over braces. Plus, with our interest free payment plans, Invisalign and braces are affordable. 

Q. Does insurance pay for Invisalign braces?

A.  Yes, orthodontic insurance is for all aspects of orthodontic treatment.

Q. How long does the Invisalign braces system take to move the teeth?

A.  Each patient’s treatment is unique, so treatment times range anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, but at your initial consultation Dr. Hirsh will be able to tell you how long your specific treatment will be.

Q. Is the Invisalign treatment just for adults?

A.  NO. With the new advancements in Invisalign, teens can also use Invisalign. There is actually a system developed just for teens, Invisalign Teen. Invisalign Teen allows for patients to have a few teeth not fully erupted and receive treatment. There is also a patient compliance monitoring system built in so parents can have peace of mind that patients are wearing their trays correctly.

Q. Can Invisalign treat everything that braces can?

A.  Invisalign does have some limitations of what orthodontic issues it can treat, but Dr. Hirsh has over 400 cases of Invisalign and is extremely skilled in Invisalign and creative in customizing a treatment plan that every patient receives a terrific result. In some cases Dr. Hirsh can use minimal braces, or other appliances, in conjunction with Invisalign to provide patients with the aesthetically pleasing look during treatment with the same great results. There have been many advances in the technology, so there are far fewer limitations for Invisalign treatments.

Q. How often do I change to a new Invisalign aligner?

A.  For most patients each trays is worn 2-3 weeks and at each appointment you receive several trays, limiting your appointments to every few months.
